The start of a new school year can be a difficult time for many of the families with whom VEAP works and our annual school supply drive plays a critical role in meeting local students’ needs. This summer, we encouraged friends, donors, and supporters to come together to make sure children heading back to class for the year had all the supplies they needed. And you delivered! VEAP is incredibly grateful for all the wonderful school supplies and backpacks we received to help support local students during this year’s school supply drive. Thanks to you, we received and delivered:
- 1,223 backpacks and 8 pallets of school supplies for Bloomington students
- 745 backpacks and 8 pallets of supplies for Richfield youth
- 200 backpacks and 2 pallets for supplies for the Edina district
We’d like to extend a grateful thank you to our superstar volunteers for all their help with the drive: Birchwood Financial Partners, United Health Group, Western National Insurance and our lead volunteers: Julie Brooks, Kim Fairman, Sue Brickley, and Terri Hudoba. Thank you all!
