Plan extra garden produce for VEAP
When planting your garden, consider planning for more than you need. The VEAP food pantry welcomes your extra produce donations. VEAP clients particularly appreciate fresh, healthy foods from the garden, especially over the summer months when kids are home from school. For maximum freshness, it’s ideal to deliver the produce on the day of harvest–simply brush off the dirt and deliver as is.
What to Plant?
Easy to grow vegetables such as green beans, carrots, onions and zucchini are appreciated. Or consider more culturally specific vegetables such as Thai peppers, poblanos and tomatillos.
