Update: these two positions are now closed. Thank you for your interest.
In an effort to do all that we can for our community during this time of crisis, VEAP has applied and been awarded two additional team member positions through ServeMinnesota’s AmeriCorps Emergency Response Initiative.
As an Emergency Response Member, you will help VEAP respond to significant needs in our community related to COVID-19. In total, we are seeking 2 new staff members, who will each work at our on-site facility July 26 – December 4.
The 2 members will ‘float’ among our Food & Basic Needs department and our Social Services team to holistically support our work. As we anticipate a continued gap in volunteer coverage through the fall, these two staff members will help in the day-to-day areas of greatest need.
Food & Basic Needs team general tasks: Support warehouse, distribution and food pantry operations; pack food orders for visitor visits and grocery deliveries; conduct grocery home deliveries to seniors, people with disabilities and those facing transportation barriers with VEAP vehicles.
Social Services team general tasks: Support social services operations; assist with completion of food request, data privacy and client history forms; assist with processing vouchers for client assistance; and follow-up with landlords and property managers regarding housing assistance
Support Volunteer & Admin related projects throughout VEAP
