Update on Hennepin County services at VEAP

November 3, 2021

Hennepin County Health and Human Services co-located with VEAP at the South Suburban location in Bloomington will remain closed at this time. As onsite services become available, they will be offered by appointment.

Apply online or by phone for cash, food, child care and health care assistance and other human services programs. You don’t need to come to our offices to get our help.

Get connected

Call 612-348-4111 for help or visit one of the sites below:

  • hennepin.us/residents#human-services
  • hennepin.us/foodhelp
  • hennepin.us/cash

To renew your SNAP and cash benefits, and child care assistance, go to MNbenefits and click the Apply Now button. Individuals who are renewing their benefits will follow the same application process as those applying for benefits for the first time.

Medical Assistance renewals remain suspended. Please report any changes by submitting documentation of the change. See below for more information on how to submit documents.

Options for submitting documents

When submitting documents to Hennepin County, make sure each page is marked with:

  • Your case number
  • Your name and date of birth

You can also send your documents to our virtual drop box, or fax or mail them.

If you have SNAP or cash benefit, the best option for submitting documents and information is online through your InfoKeep account or MNBenefits.

  • Virtual drop box: [email protected]
  • Fax: 612-288-2981
  • Mail: Hennepin County Human Services Department, P.O. Box 107, Minneapolis, MN 55440

If you don’t have access to these options, there are document drop boxes available at any Human Service Center, including VEAP.

You can get help via phone while Human Service Centers are closed to the public.

Speak to a Human Services Representative

Call 612-596-1300, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
