August 2, 2021 update: Effective August 3, 2021, VEAP is now requiring that all visitors, staff, and volunteers wear face coverings when in our facility. The information contained on this page is no longer valid. See updated information here.
In accordance with current CDC and MN Department of Health COVID-19 safety guidelines, our policy is as follows for people working, visiting or volunteering inside our building
- Masks are optional for people who are fully vaccinated.
- Masks are still required for those who are not fully vaccinated.
- For participant-facing roles, we strongly encourage the use of face coverings (masks or face shields) for the sake of participant, volunteer and staff safety.
- All policies and practices regarding social distancing and maximum occupancy for rooms remain in effect at this time.
In addition, we advise staff, visitors and volunteers to wash their hands often and stay at home if they are sick.
VEAP will not be asking anyone who visits our building to provide proof of vaccination. Our new policy is based on the “honor system” and we trust that our staff and volunteers, as well as any other visitors to our building, will follow the instructions listed above.
VEAP’s Safety Team will continue to assess the elements of our COVID-19 safety policy in the weeks and months to come and notify the public of any further changes. Please email [email protected] if you have questions about this policy.
