Beginning April 1, 2022, and as we continue to navigate the pandemic together, VEAP will be using Hennepin County Community Transmission levels of COVID-19 reported on the CDC website to help guide our safety practices, including face mask guidelines. VEAP will respond accordingly to changes in transmission levels ensuring the safety and well-being of all our participants, volunteers and staff by checking CDC data on a weekly basis.
The CDC updates transmission data regularly on Thursday evenings. Therefore, any changes to safety and masking practices at VEAP will be announced Friday morning for the following week and must be followed until further notice.
Starting Monday, May 9, 2022
- Masks are required at all times.
- If you are eating/snacking in an open space, please make sure to pull your mask over your mouth after each bite.
- Social distancing is encouraged.
- In-person meetings are allowed.
- The Community Room set-up will remain unchanged.
- There will be limited seating available in the gathering area.
The above safety precautions are set in place for medium transmission rates. If transmission levels change, we will update this safety announcement and act accordingly in response to the changing transmission levels.
VEAP will have signage throughout the building indicating when mask use is optional or mandatory, and at each entry point so visitors are aware of the current masking policy.
Leaning into our value of compassion, we want to make sure that everyone feels safe, welcomed, comfortable, and supported while working at VEAP. We thank everyone for their support, dedication, and commitment in helping us keep the community thriving by following our safety precautions.
