VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) is a basic needs and social service organization whose programs provide access to healthy foods, social services and transportation for residents of Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and a portion of south Minneapolis. VEAP is a trusted partner, establishing connections and developing confidence for clients facing financial uncertainty. Through the use of 3,100 volunteers, VEAP unites neighbors around a common goal of building stronger, more hopeful, communities.
VEAP is seeking an individual with a passion for working for a mission-based organization; to coordinate food distribution activities, support and assist other program activities, train and supervise volunteers and more to ensure sufficient day-to-day staffing is in place.
The Distribution Coordinator will work well managing multiple projects and deadlines and work with sensitive and confidential matters; and will also have proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Clientbase database software. Experience with equipment handling (pallet jacks, pallet stacker, baler) and food manager certification preferred.
