Welcome Amy Lon, VEAP’s new Human Resources Manager

July 30, 2021

VEAP is pleased to introduce our newest staff member to the team, Amy Lon, Human Resources Manager!

Amy Lon joined VEAP in July of 2021 in a newly-created position as Human Resources Manager. In her role, she will be responsible for managing recruitment processes, employee relations, regulatory compliance, training and development for employee retention, and off boarding processes.

Amy has previously worked in various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, social services, aerospace, and janitorial services, among others. She is a certified DiSC trainer with extensive experience in the areas of compliance, employee relations, performance management, change management, training and development, compensation, benefits, recruiting and HRIS. She possesses a strong coaching background and a proven ability to guide teams through the process of interpreting and applying employment laws, and helping them navigate through potential legal risks. Furthering and strengthening VEAP’s mission by retaining and developing top talent will be central to her work. She is looking forward to using her skills to advance our vision in the community!

Amy received her Bachelor’s in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and a Masters’ in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. At home, she loves to cook and bake for friends and family—as well as hula hoop!
