December 16, 2024

VEAP is pleased to announce that after a thorough search, we have hired Jennifer Harrison as our new Vice President of Advancement! In her role, Jennifer will be responsible for the management of VEAP’s robust advancement plan including individual, business, and faith-based giving, corporate and foundation grants and sponsorships, special events, community fundraising, planned giving, and external-facing donor engagement and relations.

Jennifer comes to VEAP with 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, and communications, and nonprofit management. Jennifer most recently served as Executive Director for Dakota Woodlands shelter for homeless families. Prior to that, she served as Development & Communications Director for the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Angel Foundation, and Emerge Community Development. Jennifer has also held fundraising and communications positions at Animal Humane Society and Episcopal Community Services.

Jennifer has a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas.  In addition, Jennifer has earned the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) professional credential and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Jennifer has served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Valley Humane Society, Leech Lake Legacy and the School of Environmental Studies Education Foundation.

If stuck on a desert island with access to just one food, Jennifer picks: “I’d have to say tacos – they are my go-to food choice!”

Welcome, Jennifer, to VEAP!
