PLEASE NOTE: We will be accepting items through August!

Thousands of students in the Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina school districts need help filling their backpacks this fall. Join us in supporting their academic success by making sure they have all the supplies they need for the year. VEAP will be collecting items and distributing to the school districts with the support of local faith communities, businesses, and partners.

What supplies are most needed?

Backpacks, scientific calculators, and wireless headphones/earbuds are high-demand items and the most impactful as they’re the most expensive for families to purchase on their own. If you are able, please consider making these a focus of your donations. Traditional supplies like spiral notebooks, crayons, and washable markers are needed as well. Please make sure all items are new. There is no need to organize your supplies. We sort and deliver right to the districts for distribution.

 

 

Where and when should I drop off supplies?

Supplies can be dropped off behind our facility at 9600 Aldrich Avenue South, Bloomington, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please drive to Door 4. A volunteer will take the items right from your car. In order to ensure timely delivery to the school districts, please drop off your donation between July 14 – 31, 2025. Items received after that day may be used to directly support families with young children in our Social Services department. Can’t make it to VEAP to drop off items? No problem! We have an Amazon wish list set up so you can purchase the items and have them shipped directly to VEAP.

How can I help spread the word?

Drop off times: M-Th 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., or Friday 9:00 a.m.-noon. No weekend drop offs please. Donation door 4 is located on the back side (southwest corner) of the building. A secure donation box is available for financial contributions. At this time, we are unable to pick up donations and ask that all drive organizers drop off their items directly at VEAP. Stay in right lane when arriving if possible and proceed directly to Door 4.
Do you need collection tote bags?
VEAP offers branded, re-usable tote bags to collect and organize your drive items. These are available for pick up anytime M-Th 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., or Friday 9:00 a.m.-noon, at Door 4.
