Hunger Day on the Hill, organized by Partners to End Hunger, is a powerful opportunity to advocate for Minnesota’s hunger-relief network. VEAP’s food bank partners, The Food Group and Second Harvest Heartland, are recruiting strong voices to meet directly with their legislators to help tell the real story about why additional aid for food insecurity is so important this legislative session.
This year’s priorities include increasing funding for the Minnesota Food Shelf Program by $5.4 million and creating a new regional food bank grant program to strengthen food distribution statewide.
Join us Monday, March 16! The day runs from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., beginning with a morning program at the Capitol Ridge Radisson.
