Looking for a way to support your community together? Your team can make a difference! We 100% depend on our volunteers in everything that we do. If your group is motivated to serve then join us today in keeping food on our friends’ and neighbors’ tables.

Our opportunities:

  • Welcome everyone! We’d love to host your team for a meaningful and impactful group volunteer event.
  • Don’t require experience. We’ll provide all necessary training, and make sure you and your team feel confident while serving with us.
  • Help build relationships. Our group opportunities are a great way to strengthen bonds and build relationships with one another.
  • Are fun! Our opportunities include volunteering together on site in our Food Pantry, or on special projects for VEAP.
  • Group Volunteering – onsite in our pantry for groups less than 12 people
  • Doing Good – pairs a traditional product drive with a volunteer component. This opportunity works for small or large groups and can be held on or offsite. Days, evenings, or weekends.

Please connect with Karen Hancock, Volunteer Manager, on any questions regarding our group volunteer opportunities. You can reach her at karenh@veap.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

  • Friday morning distribution: We have a different model for distributing food on Friday mornings. Please connect with Karen Hancock to learn more: karenh@veap.org

Doing Good is an opportunity for corporate, social, school, religious, fraternal groups to support VEAP by collecting and purchasing items to pack/repackage for distribution to our food pantry participants.  Options include Birthday Bags, Express Packs (to-go packs of food available without appointment to visitors), Street Kits, and Hygiene Kits.  This is a great team building activity for your employees or members!

“When the world seems crazy, I know that I can only do my part, and must do my part. It helps to be involved with something as basic as getting healthy food to those in need. Over the years, I have come to know VEAP as a truly remarkable organization. The solid values of this organization are demonstrated at the highest levels, and throughout our culture. It’s not hard to believe that I am truly making a difference.” -VEAP Volunteer
