POSITION TITLE: Food Pantry Specialist

TYPE: Full-time

REPORTS TO: Food Pantry Manager

Salary range: $22.00 to $24.50 per hour

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Food Pantry Specialist will play an instrumental role in ensuring efficiency in all areas of pantry operations. This position provides operational support to VEAP’s on-site food pantry, mobile food pantry, food pick-ups and deliveries, and warehouse operations. The Food Pantry Specialist also serves a key role in the support and training of volunteers, including promoting a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for volunteers, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and information necessary to complete their assigned tasks.

Must be able to use a computer keyboard, mouse, operate pallet jack, pallet stacker, and cardboard baler. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
