Announcing VEAP Vice Presidents

July 29, 2026

We’re excited to welcome our two new Vice Presidents to the VEAP team! Their leadership and expertise will play an important role in advancing VEAP’s strategic plan as we continue to strengthen our programs, serve our community, and prepare for the future.

Nell Holden, Vice President of Operations
Nell brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience in nonprofit operations, finance, human resources, facilities management, and information technology. She is a strategic, collaborative leader who excels at strengthening organizations, improving operational efficiency, and creating systems that enable teams to thrive.

Most recently, she served as Finance & Operations Director at Wilderness Inquiry, where she provided strategic oversight for the organization as it grew its operating budget from $3 million to more than $10 million. In that role, she led finance, HR, IT, facilities, and risk management, while overseeing major initiatives including a $5.5 million headquarters acquisition and renovation, technology modernizations, and the development of organization-wide operational systems and processes.

As Vice President of Operations, Nell will provide strategic leadership across all of our operational functions, helping us strengthen our infrastructure, enhance collaboration, and position our organization for continued growth and impact.

April Rog, Vice President of Program Strategy & Impact
April brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in hunger relief, food systems, and nonprofit operations. Most recently, she served as Director of Strategic Partnerships & Special Projects at Open Cupboard, where she led initiatives to expand fresh food access, strengthen community partnerships, and build innovative programs that significantly increased the organization’s impact, providing more than 6 million pounds of food annually to 1,200 shoppers each day. Previously, she spent a decade at Second Harvest Heartland, scaling one of the nation’s largest food rescue programs and developing partnerships that helped deliver over 40 millions of pounds of food to communities across Minnesota.

She is excited to join the VEAP team and looks forward to building on our strong foundation, expanding our community impact, and deepening our work in housing stability alongside our food programs.

Please join us in welcoming Nell and April to VEAP!
