Where to donate items VEAP cannot accept

Thank you for thinking of VEAP as you consider where to donate good and other household items. Due to distribution capacities, VEAP is unable to accept items that are not food, personal hygiene care products, diapers, and paper products.

Items VEAP cannot accept:

  • Clothing
  • Winter gear (mittens, hats, coats, etc.)
  • Furniture and household items (blankets, kitchen utensils, etc.)
  • Baby gear (car seats, equipment, etc.)
  • Medical equipment and supplies (wheelchairs, walkers, painkillers, vitamins, etc.)
  • Toys

We strongly encourage you to reach out to other community partners to donate these items.

Sharing and Caring Hands is a safety-net organization to help individuals with immediate needs including meals, clothing, showers, shelter, transportation help, rent deposits, rent help, medical assistance, dental care, furniture, school expenses, and other miscellaneous needs.

To donate furniture or household goods:

Bridging Minnesota
Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the Twin Cities, provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty.

To donate medical equipment:

Global Health Ministries
Global Health Ministries (GHM) is an independent Lutheran nonprofit, and specializes in capacity-building for Lutheran health systems in under-resourced countries, serving some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Each year thousands of volunteers gather in their Minnesota-based warehouse to help sort and pack medical equipment and supplies to share around the world.

To donate toys:

The Toy Shelf
The Toy Shelf seeks donations of new and used toys, and especially items for kids ages 12 to 15 years old. Donations of new/used toys are accepted on an on-going basis. You may drop off items at the following locations:

  • North St. Paul City Hall – 2400 Margaret Street, North St. Paul, MN 55109
  • The Toy Shelf – 2266 2nd St. N., North St. Paul, MN 55109

Sharing and Caring Hands
Only accepting all new Christmas toys/items at this time.
