Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance

PLEASE READ:  Each month, VEAP accepts a set number of applications for our internal financial assistance program. Below you will find the applications. These applications will close when we reach our applicant limit for the month. We accept applications throughout the month for people living in Edina. Scroll to bottom of page for Edina application.

Applicants are encouraged to call or apply at the end of the month (starting on the 28th) to request assistance for the following month.

If you live in Bloomington, Edina, Richfield or South Minneapolis zip codes 55410, 55417 or 55419, VEAP may be able to assist with your rent, security deposit, or utility bill. Please fill out the online application below to be considered for assistance. You may call VEAP at 952-888-9616 and leave a voicemail for the social services team at x147, if you need assistance with the online application, but calling in is not required if you’ve already completed the online application.

Once you’ve completed the online application, one of our case managers will call you back to conduct a phone assessment with you to determine your eligibility for financial assistance. Learn more about our social services programming. Additionally, you may access resources at mnbenefits.org.

VEAP does not require proof of citizenship or residency. The funding we provide comes from public and private sources. If you prefer not to receive publicly-sourced assistance, please let us know. Learn more by clicking here. If you have questions or concerns about this, please email us at [email protected]
