Your health is important to VEAP
All food pantry visits are scheduled by phone. Call 952.888.9616 x100 to make an appointment. Most appointments are scheduled within a day or two of your initial call. New food clients have the opportunity to meet with a licensed social worker.
VEAP’s pantry operates under a client-choice model meaning you are able to select the food you know your family will use. VEAP has a variety of fresh foods, including produce, meats and dairy available in our pantry. By providing access to healthy foods combined with Nutrition Education and Teaching (NEAT) classes, you can chose and learn to use a wide variety of nutritious foods. Rides home are available by appointment.
Student Hunger Collaborative
VEAP works in partnerships with local school districts to provide weekend food packs during the school year. Contact your school for eligibility and registration information. To access VEAP’s food resources, such as the food pantry, call 952.888.9616 x100.
Nutrition and Cooking Classes
NEAT classes are available to VEAP clients. Courses cover topics such as meal planning and shopping on a budget. Participants will get hands on experience in the VEAP teaching kitchen and go home with recipes and groceries. For more detailed information see our NEAT classes page.
Transportation is one of the biggest barriers for individuals facing food insecurity. VEAP improves access to food resources for those with mobility barriers through food deliveries and pantry rides home.
